Mendoza (Argentina); Wine Country & Marita Lavosier

Heres’ a cool story - we met an incredibly interesting woman who reminded us a bit of Georgia O’Keefe. Here name is Marita Lavosier and she’s an artist who is quite famous in that part of Argentina. We first noticed her work at a the little artist hotel we stayed at, Parador Del Angel. After seeing her paintings all over the valley, at Bodega Salentein and Zuccardi we finally, on our last day, asked the owner of our little boutique hotel about her. It turned out that Marita is his mother in law and we got a private tour of her studio. Long story short we did a photo shoot of her and her work that afternoon and got to keep one of our favorite pieces. An interesting shoot with my minimal Spanish skills and Marita’s minimal English.
